Perth Kitchen Renovation Design Experts
Discover how we can help you get the most out of your kitchen renovation.
Before you get started
There's no denying that the kitchen is the heart of the home. It's the space where we gather with our family and friends - and not just to prepare and enjoy a meal. We use our kitchen as a space to socialise, to come together and to share special moments.
With the kitchen being such a crucial room, it's no surprise that it's a big contributor to your home's resale value too.
At Select Solutions, our team have been designing bespoke kitchens since 2009 and we are well-versed in our ability to cater to a variety of tastes and budgets. Our team of professionals will conduct a thorough inspection of the room you'd like to renovate, assist with planning and supervise trades to ensure a thorough checklist is followed at every step of the process. The result? You will be rewarded with a finished kitchen that you can be proud of and that will undoubtably become a favourite room in your home.
What to consider before your kitchen renovation
Choosing the ideal layout
The utmost important factor to consider when creating a new kitchen is the layout. Ideally, it will have a view of the outdoor area and provide good interaction with other spaces.
In our experience, the best solution is to design kitchens into zones. These include prep zones, cooking zones, storage zones and cleaning zones.
The greatest benefit of renovating your existing kitchen is the opportunity it provides to re-evaluate the space. Think about your current kitchen and how it relates to your needs, then think about the areas you wish you could improve (but be realistic about your available space). If you're not sure whether you can accomplish what you are after with the space you have, we can help.
Our team offer a FREE site visit and measure to ensure all your needs are met while preventing any surprise budget blowouts.
Choose your new style
When choosing a design style, the options can get overwhelming. It's important to ensure you select a style early in the process as this will help narrow down the choice of fittings to consider. Our team of kitchen design experts are well-versed in the latest design trends and can work with you to choose a style that will complement the rest of your home and tick the ‘dream kitchen’ boxes you will want for your new space.
We encourage you to bring in any photos and samples of what you would like to achieve and we will work with you to bring it all together in the creation of your new kitchen.
Statement pieces, materials and colour schemes
Product selections can be overwhelming, but our team will work with you to make this step fun and stress-free!
Our Designer Showroom in Cannington is ideal for making all the selections for your new kitchen in one place.
If you wish to incorporate a statement element in your kitchen, we'd recommend you narrow down your options in this area first. From there, it's a matter of selecting the rest of your finishes in colours and textures that will compliment your feature element.
Cabinetry and Handles
We offer various cabinetry options including two pac, vinyl wrap, laminate or timber as well as a variety of pull handles and knobs in a range of styles, colours, shapes and finishes. There is also the option to have finger grooves giving you a seamless finish.
We can show you through your choices and colour selections and help you make the best decision for a finish that will best suit your home and your budget.
Stone is the most popular choice for Kitchens today.
Though laminates are also available, the quality and durability of stone surfaces cannot be matched.
We have an extensive range of palettes available and we will help you select the best one for your kitchen's colour scheme and style.
We can source and supply a stunning custom bench top to complete your new kitchen.
We have an inspiring range of mosaic, geometric, patterned and subway tiles that can add colour and texture to your splashback. A large format tile will eliminate grout joints and can be a beautiful choice with larger splashbacks, possibly with the addition of overhead lighting and shelves.
Using the same stone of your bench top as the splashback provides a slick and luxurious look to a kitchen that can perfectly tie an Island bench to the rest of the kitchen by the appearance of the same stone selection.
Glass is another option and can be coloured, mirrored or feature images mounted to the back of the glass.
Don't underestimate the effect & importance of lighting when designing your new kitchen.
Ample lighting to cook and read by is vital. Also the ambiance that can be created by adding LED lighting under over head cabinets can add a final 'wow' factor and elegance to your new kitchen. Pendant lighting over your island bench will also provide lighting for this vital part of your kitchens 'PREP ZONE' but it is also the perfect opportunity for you to make an additional styling selection of a pendant that will be in keeping with the style and look you are creating in your new kitchen.
